Red is the oxymoron of colors. In it's descriptions, it has more antonyms than synonyms. It makes you feel loved but it also makes you feel angry, it's passionate yet aggressive, it can give you great willpower yet make you feel extra sensitive, give you joy and rage. It really is the bipolar teenager of colors.
With all of these different attributes in mind, red is a very complex color and really needs to be looked at on a case by case basis. Your blood pressure will rise when surrounded by red, so it can be a great color in your home gym to really motivate you to push further than you normally would. It also enhances your metabolism, so it's a good color to add to your kitchen.
Red can be used in your bedroom to add heat to your love life, but if you are already an aggressive person, you may want to avoid this color too much. On the opposite side, too little of this color in your life can make you a fearful and cautious person.
Love Red? Let's create some interest in your life!

Have you ever been to Crave Restaurant & Lounge? If not, you need to change that! They have fantastic food and a great atmosphere.

This was another project I worked on with the last design firm I was with. Notice the sheep in the background? I do love using that little guy.

There are many different variations of pink and all of them have different ways of affecting us. Blush, being a very pale pink, can be very sensual but lacks any energy and passion. A rosy pink is the universal sign for love and unity. It shows a little more maturity and innateness. Salmon pink is an interesting color. It has a smidgen of orange and encourages flirtation, but can show also you have a loud bark and no bite. Fuchsia has attributes of both rose pink and blue with it's confidence and maturity. This color shows a controlled nurturing and love. Hot pink is very playful and passionate. It gives off such warmth and happiness you will just love life.
While pink is a wonderful color to use in a little girls room, as many of us know, it can also be a great color to use in a woman's walk-in closet. Using it sporadically as a highlight behind your shoes can really start your day off right, making you feel sexy and loved.
Pink should be used sparingly, though. When surrounded by too much pink for too long, it can actually have the opposite affect, making you feel physically weak and give you a lack of will power and self worth.

On one hand yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honor, loyalty, and joy, but on the other, it represents cowardice and deceit. A dull or dingy yellow may represent caution, sickness, and jealousy."

Yellow is a very energetic color with high intensity. Like blue, yellow can bring out the intellect in you; but be wary while very exciting it is also very unstable and can cause anxiety in some people.
Use this color wisely in your home or office, it can be a great motivating color. Though, too much can actually work against you causing you to lose focus too easily.
This color is meant to grab your attention but only for a short time. Otherwise it's too much of a shock to the system. This is why yellow is not a good color to paint a bedroom. Painting a baby's room yellow actually prevents them from sleeping and can make them cry. While on the other side, painting the playroom yellow can actually promote happiness and let them have an even better playtime.

Purple is the ultimate power color. Yes purple! Having purple in your office can give you that sense of empowerment. Something as simple as a small, elegant purple flower placed behind you will automatically put you in the power position when clients or employees walk in.
Purple is such a rare color in nature, it is mysterious and intriguing. Using purple in the dinning room or bedroom can create a very romantic setting.
Purple is one of those colors where a little goes a long way. Too much of this color in certain applications can give the feeling of arrogance and irritability.
Love purple? Want to learn the right way to use it in your life? Call me.

Green is a very earthy and natural color. It can be a great color for many different applications. While it has very similar characteristics as blue with it's calming nature; green can also re-energize you and help you grow.
This is a great color to use in your office especially for a new business hoping to thrive. It's associations with growth, renewal and money; green will help a new business stay on the right path to success. Green can also help relieve stress and nervousness so adding hints of it in your bathroom can help calm you down after a hard days work.
One thing to watch for when using this color is not to use it too much in a small space. Green takes up more space to the human eye. Painting your walls green in a small room can actually make the room feel much smaller and more claustrophobic.
Love the color green? Let's put it to good use!
