Happy Summer Solstice everyone! Today the time of daylight is longer than any other day of the year. Starting tomorrow, the daylight will get shorter all the way until the Winter Solstice.

Don't worry, there is still a lot of Summer left. Plus a great way to celebrate Summer is by taking part in NY State's Summer Reading Program for kids- Fizz Boom Read or Spark a Reaction. Available at libraries all over NY.

One more example of how Science really does matter.
Scientists are customers, too. And as Chobani yogurt has learned, conventional marketing techniques don't really work for this crowd. http://cen.acs.org/articles/92/web/2014/06/Chobanis-Accidental-Culture-War.html #howmatters

Small businesses are very important to their communities. They hire local people and reinvest their profits back into the community. Keep that in mind when making your shopping lists.

There are great pictures all the way to the end of the article. It was great to be a part of the community event.
Town of Gardiner held their Gardiner Day celebration on Saturday, September 14th 2013. It is second only to the cupcake festival that it a total town takeover surrounding Wright's Farm just outside the main thoroughfare. But, Saturday's festival was a marvelous town get-together featuring face paint…
